Scholarships

American Business Women’s Association Scholarship

The mission of the American Business Women’s Association is to bring together business women of diverse occupations, and to provide opportunities to help themselves and others grow personally and professionally through leadership, education, networking support and national recognition. The Iris Chapter of the American Business Women’s Association (ABWA), in Griffin, Georgia, offers an annual scholarship to students pursuing degrees with Business as a focus. ABWA desires for funds awarded to be used for educational purposes.

  • Amount: $750
  • Eligibility: An undergraduate UGA student at the Griffin Campus, major in a degree with a Business emphasis
  • Deadline: March 31
  • Award Decision: April 30

Amon L. Cain Special Needs Student Support Scholarship

Mr. Gary Cavanaugh and the Trustees of the Amon L. Cain Trust provided funds to the UGA Griffin Campus to support students who are registered with the Disability Resource Center, to accommodate access to instruction and services.

  • Amount: Up to $1,000  
  • Eligibility: UGA student at the Griffin Campus, registered with the Disability Resource Center | https://drc.uga.edu 
  • Deadline: Rolling  
  • Award Decision: One month after the application received.

Grace Brindle & Roy Lee Rawls Scholarship

In honor of Grace Brindle & Roy Lee Rawls, this scholarship is funded to provide support for an undergraduate student studying at the University of Georgia Griffin Campus   

  • Amount: Up to $1,000  
  • Eligibility: Undergraduate students studying on the UGA Griffin Campus with preference given to students majoring in a science discipline.  
  • Deadline: October 1 
  • Award Decision: November 1

Marie Fort Garden Club Scholarship

The local chapter of the Marie Fort Garden Club awards an annual scholarship to student majoring in Horticulture or a closely related field in the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences at the University of Georgia’s Griffin Campus.   

  • Amount: Up to $1,000  
  • Eligibility: An UGA undergraduate or graduate student at the Griffin Campus, majoring in an agricultural degree with a preferred emphasis in Horticulture. 
  • Deadline: September 1 
  • Award Decision: October 1

Rhoda Hopson Ingram Scholarship

The Rhoda Hopson Ingram Scholarship will support students who are studying conservation, preservation, and wise use of natural resources through Agriculture, Horticulture, and other Biological and Natural Sciences.  

  • Amount: Up to $1,000 
  • Eligibility: College of Agricultural and Environmental Science undergraduate students at the UGA Griffin Campus, majoring in Environmental Resource Science or a closely related field. 
  • Deadline: February 1 and September 1
  • Award Decision: April 1 and November 1
