We offer the master degree in Entomology, which is a traditional academic research degree designed to train students for positions in academia, industry, and government. Note that a prior entomology degree is not required. Indeed, we welcome applicants with a BS or MS in any life sciences field. However, students lacking genetics and biochemistry courses must complete these after admission. Related courses (e.g., cell biology, microbiology, molecular biology) may be substituted. Direct PhD entry is possible without a master’s degree. We suggest you discuss this option with your potential major advisor during the application process.
